This specialist setting supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, SLD, and other developmental needs. About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide supportive, nurturing learning to pupils with complex needs
*Work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils access personalised learning
*Encourage communication, independence and emotional development
*Support children with autism and SLD using structured, therapeutic approaches
*Collaborate with class teachers, therapists and external professionals
*Help create a safe, consistent, and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in:
*SEN settings, SEN schools or mainstream SEN support
*Working with pupils with autism, SLD or communication needs
*Care, support work or roles involving vulnerable children
*Early Years backgrounds or primary support roles
*Personal or voluntary experience with additional needs
