We are currently working with a secondary school in Middlesbrough seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of Humanities for September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Humanities teacher or existing middle leader looking to lead a successful department and drive high standards across the curriculum.
The successful candidate will:
*Lead and develop the Humanities department across KS3 and KS4
*Deliver high-quality teaching within their specialist subject area
*Drive progress, attainment and curriculum development
*Support, challenge and develop staff within the department
*Promote a culture of high expectations, engagement and achievement

Requirements:
*UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
*Experience teaching Humanities within a secondary setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
