Overview
We are seeking an experienced roofing professional to train and support roofing apprentices. This role is ideal for an experienced roofer looking to move away from site work into a stable, permanent role, or for an existing tutor wanting to continue delivering trade-based training.
The role involves delivering practical and classroom-based training, assessing learner progress, and supporting apprentices through to successful completion of their programme.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver practical and theory-based roofing training to apprentices
*Demonstrate correct methods, safe working practices, and industry standards
*Assess learner work and maintain accurate training and progress records
*Support apprentices through their programme and end-point assessment
*Work with employers to monitor learner progress
*Maintain a safe, organised workshop and classroom environment
*Complete required paperwork and compliance documentation
*Monitor attendance and learner welfare, including safeguarding concerns
*Keep industry knowledge up to date and complete CPD

Essential Requirements
*Minimum 5 years’ experience in roofing
*Experience in slate & tile and/or flat roofing
