Description
*Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and reduce outstanding debts.
*Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities, including payment schedules and transaction histories.
*Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment queries and disputes in a professional manner.
*Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure alignment on financial targets and reporting.
*Prepare regular reports on aged debt and collection progress for management review.
*Evaluate and set credit limits for new and existing customers based on financial analysis.
*Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures at all times.
*Support process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the credit control function.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
*Previous experience in credit control or a related role within accounting and finance.
*Strong numerical and analytical skills to assess creditworthiness and manage accounts effectively.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
