Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Employment Lawyer to join a leading national law firm’s highly regarded Employment team, with the role able to be based in either Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nationally recognised team that advises a broad range of household-name and major UK employers on the full spectrum of employment law matters. The team has ambitious growth plans and offers strong long-term progression opportunities for the right individual.

The role will involve:

*Managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
*Advising on redundancy, disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing and discrimination matters
*Defending Employment Tribunal claims
*Supporting corporate transactions, including TUPE advice
*Drafting senior executive service agreements and related documentation
*Advising on restructuring and change management projects
*Supporting business development initiatives, networking and client training
The successful candidate will ideally have:

*4+ years’ PQE in employment law
*Strong technical and commercial knowledge
*Experience managing their own caseload
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*A collaborative approach and desire to be part of a growing team
*Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be advantageous
