Our client, is seeking a skilled HGV Trailer Technician to join their professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to secure a long-term position within a busy workshop, offering competitive pay and opportunities for overtime. The role promises stability, career progression, and a supportive working environment.
Benefits:
*Circa £50,000 basic salary plus overtime
*Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am – 5:00pm
*Stable, long-term employment within a well-established commercial repair centre
*Opportunities for overtime to enhance earnings
*Work in a reputable and busy workshop environment
*Career progression within a professional team
Duties:
*Service, repair, and maintain trailers including tail lifts and curtain siders
*Conduct fault diagnosis and complete repairs efficiently
*Prepare trailers for MOT testing and ensure compliance with legal standards
*Carry out repairs adhering to manufacturer guidelines and health & safety regulations
*Maintain accurate documentation of all service and repair activities
*Identify additional defects or repair requirements during inspections
*Uphold high standards of workmanship at all times
*Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
*Previous experience as a Trailer Technician or HGV Technician, with a solid understanding of trailer systems and repairs
*Strong diagnostic skills and fault-finding ability
*Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (desirable)
*Full UK driving licence required
*Experience working on tail lifts and curtain siders is advantageous
*Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship
*Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment
