I am working with a nurturing Jewish, Special Educational Needs school that are looking for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2026.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves supporting children with additional needs and is looking to step into a role with additional responsibility and variety.
The school are looking for a HLTA who can confidently support across classes and lead learning when needed, including covering lessons during teacher PPA time or meetings. You’ll be joining a supportive environment where relationships, routine and care sit at the heart of everything they do.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Delivering engaging interventions and small group work
• Leading whole-class learning when required
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
• Helping to create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
What the school are looking for:
• Previous experience working within SEN settings
• HLTA experience
• Confidence leading a classroom
• A calm, adaptable and proactive approach
• Someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships with children and staff
Experience within Autism, Speech and Language needs, SEMH or Complex Needs would be highly valued.
