We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Controller / Assembly Technician to join a busy and growing workshop team in Southend-on-Sea.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining stock control, stores support and component assembly, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a practical working environment and thrives in a role with variety.
Key responsibilities:
*Assembling parts and components to required specifications
*Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
*Maintaining and replenishing stock levels
*Picking and issuing parts for workshop technicians
*Supporting stores operations during busy periods and holidays
*Liaising with suppliers regarding parts and deliveries
*Carrying out stock checks and cycle counting
*Replenishing workshop consumables
The ideal candidate:
*Has previous experience within stock control, stores, assembly, warehouse or production environments
*Has strong attention to detail and enjoys practical, hands-on work
*Confident following instructions and technical processes
*Computer literate and comfortable updating systems
*Works well as part of a team with a proactive attitude
