Full job descriptionHW Finance are partnering with a growing organisation based in Harrogate to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on an initial contract basis.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business at a key stage of its growth, playing a pivotal role within a high-performing finance team. You will work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, providing meaningful insight to support decision-making, alongside ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.


Due to ongoing growth and changes, including acquisitions, the business is looking for an experienced Accountant to support the finance function and help drive continuous improvement across reporting and processes. This will be for a period of 8 Months, on a daily rate basis of £250 - £300 per day (Inside IR35).


Day-to-day responsibilities include:
*Leading the production of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
*Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
*Business partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to understand cost movements and provide insight
*Assisting with budgeting and forecasting, with a particular focus on cost lines and cashflow analysis
*Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into financial reporting processes
*Preparation of VAT and statutory returns, ensuring compliance with deadlines
*Supporting payroll processes in collaboration with the wider business
*Delivering ad-hoc analysis and project-based support to aid decision making


The business is looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong Excel skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively.
