Job Description:
We are working with a well-established automotive business to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team in Northallerton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanic or technician to work with modern diagnostic technology, carry out servicing, repairs, and vehicle health checks, and contribute to a high-performing aftersales operation.
Full manufacturer training and accreditation opportunities are available, including hybrid and electric vehicle training, supporting long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic tools and technology
*Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
*Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
*Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults, including basic diagnostics
*Complete warranty repairs and ensure accurate documentation is maintained
*Fit accessories and carry out minor repairs where required
*Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure quality standards are met
*Complete all job cards, service records, and associated paperwork accurately
*Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and high service standards
Requirements
*NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
*Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic (main dealer or independent garage)
*Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
*Ability to work to manufacturer and industry standards
*Full UK driving licence
*Self-motivated with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Additional Information:
Salary: OTE up to £50,000+ (Uncapped)
Basic salary: £28,000 – £43,000 (depending on qualifications & experience)
Plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus + Time Saved Bonus Scheme
Working hours: 40 hours between Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm
