Quality Engineer - Contract (6 months, ongoing)
Location: Lincoln
Contract Length: 6 months, potential to extend
Hours: 37+ hours per week
Sector: Aerospace
Rate: £38 p/h -£43 p/h


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business supporting high-reliability aerospace components within a highly regulated environment.
This position will play a key role in supporting quality assurance activities across the full product lifecycle, from development through to production and final release. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and robust quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies
*Support non-conformance investigations and quality improvement activities
*Conduct internal product and process audits
*Raise and manage supplier quality notifications
*Support supplier quality audits and ongoing supplier performance activities
*Assist with maintaining and improving the Quality Management System
*Analyse quality data and support KPI development
*Promote quality awareness and compliance across the business
Requirements
*Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
*Conversant with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, RCCA etc.)
*Strong working knowledge of AS9100
*Experience with AS9102 standards would be advantageous
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams
*High attention to detail and ability to work independently
