Tradewind Recruitment are currently supporting a specialist education setting in Northampton in recruiting a part-time Caretaker to join their site team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school setting that supports children and young people with additional needs, helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for staff and students.
Role details:
*Part-time position - 20 hours per week
*52 weeks per year
*Flexible working hours available
*Ideal working pattern: 7:30am-9:00am and 3:30pm-5:00pm during term time, plus an additional 5 hours across the week
*More flexibility available during school holidays
*Based primarily in Northampton, with occasional travel to other local education sites as required
Responsibilities include:
*Opening and securing the premises daily
*General site maintenance and repairs
*Health and safety checks across the school site
*Ensuring the grounds and facilities are well maintained
*Liaising with contractors where necessary
*Supporting with any day-to-day premises needs
The ideal candidate will:
*Have previous caretaker/site management or facilities experience
*Be reliable, proactive and able to work independently
*Have a good understanding of health and safety within a school or public setting
*Hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel between local sites if needed
