Trainee IFA Administrator
Thornbury Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected St. James’s Place Partner Practice based in Glasgow to recruit a Trainee IFA Administrator.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and organised individual looking to build a long-term career within financial services and wealth management. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this role ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in financial planning.

The Role
As a Trainee IFA Administrator, you will provide administrative support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering a high standard of service to clients.
This position offers hands-on exposure to all areas of financial planning administration, including investments, pensions, protection, and client servicing.
Key Responsibilities
*Supporting Financial Advisers with day-to-day administration
*Preparing and processing client documentation and applications
*Maintaining accurate client records and updating internal systems
*Liaising with clients, providers, and third parties professionally and efficiently
*Assisting with meeting preparation and follow-up actions
*Managing incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
*Ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are maintained
*Assisting with the onboarding of new clients
*Supporting the wider administration team as required
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous administration or office experience preferred
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Professional and client-focused approach
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
*Eagerness to learn and develop within financial services
*Financial services experience is advantageous but not essential
