Full Time | Temp to Long Term | Term Time Only
£150 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in the Manchester area supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a challenging but highly impactful environment.
You will be working with pupils who may present with anxiety, trauma, behavioural needs and disengagement from education, helping them to re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive way.
The role will involve:
*Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with SEMH needs
*Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
*Building strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and progress
*Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
*Working closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs and external professionals
*Creating a safe, consistent and nurturing classroom environment
What we’re looking for:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong experience teaching SEMH pupils
*Experience working with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
*A calm, consistent and resilient teaching approach
*Passion for supporting vulnerable learners and improving outcomes
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred - or happy to pay for a new DBS if required
