Teaching Personnel is recruiting supply teachers for schools across Durham, with work available immediately. These positions cover a range of settings — primary, secondary, mainstream, and SEND — and are open to teachers across all subjects and experience levels, including those newly qualified.
Day-to-day supply is a flexible option that allows you to build familiarity with a variety of Durham schools, with the potential for longer-term bookings as relationships develop. Schools across the region are actively looking for reliable, classroom-ready teachers who can step in and maintain a positive learning environment at short notice.
What you’ll be doing:
*Covering planned and unplanned absences across Durham schools
*Delivering pre-set lesson plans or using your own initiative when required
*Managing classrooms effectively and maintaining high expectations
*Building familiarity with local schools over time
You’ll need:
*QTS or equivalent
*Confidence and adaptability in the classroom
*Strong communication skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
