An established and stable accountancy practice based in Liverpool city centre is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join the team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of SME and sole trader clients. We are also open to considering candidates moving from industry into practice, provided they have strong all-round transactional finance experience and are keen to learn.
The Role
You will support a varied portfolio of clients with duties including:
*Bookkeeping to trial balance
*Bank reconciliations
*Purchase and sales ledger
*Payroll support (training can be provided)
*VAT returns (training can be provided)
*General accounts administration
About You
We are looking for someone who:
*Ideally holds or is working towards an AAT qualification
*Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
*OR has strong industry finance experience and is looking to move into practice
*Has experience using Xero and Sage
*QuickBooks experience would be advantageous
*Has a good working knowledge of Excel
*Is organised, reliable and enjoys working with SME and sole trader clients
