Job Description:
Full job descriptionBMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to join a high-performing engineering team within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on production equipment
*Diagnose and fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems
*Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
*Assist with machinery installation, upgrades and commissioning
*Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and permit-to-work procedures
*Support and mentor apprentices where required
About You & Requirements:
*HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance or related discipline
*BS7671 qualification
*Experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
*Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
*Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC diagnostics
*Experience with CNC machinery is advantageous
