The Supply Register is working in partnership with Northumberland College to recruit Health and Social Care Lecturers to support across their curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a supportive college environment, with the potential to secure longer-term or permanent roles.
Whether you’re an experienced Health and Social Care Lecturer, healthcare professional, or education specialist looking to move into Further Education, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
You’ll support learners across Health and Social Care programmes, helping them develop the knowledge and practical understanding needed for careers within the sector.
*Deliver engaging lessons across Health and Social Care courses (Level 1-Level 3)
*Support learners with coursework, assignments, and assessments
*Teach topics linked to health, social care, safeguarding, and professional practice
*Plan and deliver inclusive and effective teaching sessions
*Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
*Create a positive and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds:
Essential:
*Experience within Health and Social Care (industry or teaching)
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to engage and support post-16 learners
*Flexible, professional, and reliable approach
Desirable:
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
*Experience within Further Education
*Experience delivering BTEC, CACHE, or vocational Health and Social Care qualifications
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
