A growing manufacturing business in the South West is looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to support the next phase of its growth. This is a key role within the business, working closely with senior leaders to improve financial performance, controls, and reporting.
This is not a purely transactional role - you will play an active part in driving commercial decisions, improving processes, and supporting growth.


Key responsibilities*Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
*Take ownership of P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting
*Deliver weekly and monthly financial performance reporting
*Manage budgeting and track spend across departments
*Provide analysis on profitability, costs, and performance
*Monitor cashflow, working capital, debtors, and creditors
*Improve financial controls and reporting processes
*Support audit, VAT, payroll, and compliance requirements
*Work closely with operations, sales, and procurement teams
*Support ERP / system improvements and reporting accuracy
*Mentor and support junior finance team members
About you*Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
*Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager
*Strong background in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment
*Confident with budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis
*Strong Excel and financial systems skills (ERP experience preferred)
*Hands-on, detail-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced setting
*Good communicator, able to work with non-finance stakeholders
*Commercially aware and proactive in improving performance
