An Assistant Accountant is required for a leading entertainment and education business based in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance team within a growing international organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with existing finance experience looking to further develop within a dynamic, fast-paced and creative organisation offering study support and long-term progression opportunities.
The Role
Working closely with the wider finance function, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and revenue streams, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
*Posting bank transactions and performing account reconciliations
*Managing billing and credit control across multiple entities and revenue streams
*Handling inbound finance queries via phone and email from internal and external stakeholders
*Supporting accounting controls and internal reporting processes
*Assisting with annual audits and audit preparation
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc accounting duties as required
*Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring processes are followed efficiently
About You
*Strong numerical and analytical skills
*Excellent organisation and time management abilities
*Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
*Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office
*A proactive, curious and service-oriented approach
*Previous Accounts Receivable / credit control exposure beneficial
*Currently studying towards an accounting qualification advantageous
*Experience using Microsoft Business Central desirable
