Overview
A reputable and well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in the Medway area is looking to recruit a NEW Accounts Semi Senior to join their growing team.
This successful and forward-thinking practice works with a wide-ranging client base across multiple industries. In this role, you will gain more of hands-on experience supporting a varied portfolio of clients, assisting with accounts preparation and gaining increasing client exposure as you grow.
The firm offers a relaxed yet professional working environment with a strong team culture.
This role is Monday–Friday with standard office hours.
Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
*Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across a broad range of industries
*Assist with the completion of management accounts and financial reporting assignments
*Undertake bookkeeping duties and review client records to ensure accuracy and compliance
*Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines and requirements
*Support with corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returns where required
*Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide day-to-day accounting support
*Use a variety of cloud-based and desktop accounting software including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
*Keep Managers updated on assignment progress, deadlines, and any technical issues arising
*Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships through a professional and proactive approach
*Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver an excellent client service
*Contribute to the continued growth, reputation, and success of the practice through high-quality work and client care
What we’re looking for
A successful candidate for this role will have circa 2+ yrs experience in UK accountancy practice and ideally be studying or part-qualified with AAT, ACCA or ACA. You must live within a 45min commute of Rainham, Kent.
