We’re partnering with an innovative robotics company developing cutting-edge hardware systems, and they’re looking for an experienced Electronics Test Technician to join the team on a high-profile contract project.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys fault-finding, testing, and working closely with engineers on complex electronic systems.

Location: Southampton (Onsite)
Contract Length: Initial 12 months
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Working Pattern: 5 days/week
Option for a 4-day onsite week + Fridays from home

What You’ll Be Doing
**Hands-on soldering and rework down to 0402/0603 component level
*PCB assembly, modification, and repair work
*Hardware testing and component-level fault finding on complex electronic systems
*Working with high pin-count boards and precision electronic assemblies
*Using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and DVMs
*Supporting wiring, harnesses, looms, and general electronics build activities
*Collaborating closely with engineers in a fast-paced robotics environment

What We’re Looking For*Strong background in electronics testing and diagnostics
*Confident using standard electronic test equipment
*Good soldering and PCB handling experience (for example replacing resistors on a board)
*Experience supporting electronic and mechanical assembly work
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment
Desirable (But Not Essential)*Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts
*IPC familiarity/certification
*Interest in developing deeper hardware design knowledge
