3 Days Per Week | Hybrid Flexibility | Growing Technology & Services Business
We are supporting a fast growing and highly successful technology services business in the appointment of a hands on Finance Manager to support the day to day running of the finance function during an exciting period of growth and change.
This is a genuinely varied and operational finance role within a fast paced SME environment. The business is going through significant growth, acquisition activity and commercial expansion, making this an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys working closely with the wider business and being involved in the detail.
The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team, finance support staff and billing function to ensure smooth financial operations, strong cash flow visibility and accurate reporting across the business.
This role would suit somebody who enjoys a practical finance role rather than purely strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing day to day finance operations
• Cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Oversight of reconciliations, debtors and supplier payments
• Supporting VAT and payroll processes
• Preparing management account information for external finance leadership sign off
• Working closely with the billing team to resolve invoicing and customer account queries
• Monitoring aged debt and supporting credit control activity
• Supporting process improvements and financial controls
• Working across Xero, Excel, CRM and payment systems
• Acting as a key link between finance and billing operations
About You
• Previous experience within a Finance Manager, Finance Lead or similar SME finance role
• Comfortable in a hands on operational finance environment
• Strong understanding of cash flow, reconciliations and debtor management
• Experience supporting management accounts preparation
• Confident using Excel including VLOOKUPs
• Experience using Xero would be advantageous
• Able to communicate effectively with both finance and non finance stakeholders
• Organised, proactive and commercially minded
