Manchester/Salford
Full Time | Temp to Long Term
£110-£120 per day (depending on experience)
We are looking for a caring, resilient and confident Pastoral Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a SEND school in the Manchester/Salford area. This is a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs, behavioural challenges and social/emotional development.
The role will involve:
*Providing pastoral and classroom support to pupils with SEND
*Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions
*Supporting behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
*Assisting with personal care where required
*Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Helping pupils engage with learning and daily routines
*Working closely with teachers and support staff
What we’re looking for:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEND
*Strong behaviour management and communication skills
*A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
*Transferable skills welcomed including support work, care work, youth work, mentoring, coaching, residential care, psychology graduates, sports coaching, and childcare experience
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult) preferred - happy to support and pay for a new DBS if needed
