This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware and detail-focused compliance professional to join a well-established organisation operating within a highly regulated international environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all import, export and trade compliance activities are carried out in line with UK and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:*Ensure compliance with UK export control and international trade regulations
*Support import/export activities including customs documentation and classification
*Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
*Liaise with internal stakeholders, freight forwarders and external agencies
*Monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on compliance impacts
*Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
*Assist with licence applications and management of controlled goods where applicable
*Provide guidance and training to internal teams on trade compliance matters
The Person:*Previous experience within a trade compliance, customs or export control role
*Strong understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures
*Knowledge of HMRC requirements and international trade legislation
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
*Experience within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or industrial sectors would be advantageous
