Location: Stevenage Contract: Permanent Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:00pm or 9:00am - 3:30pm) Salary: £12.80 per hour
Are you an organised, customer-focused administrator looking for a part-time role with consistent hours across a five-day week? This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit team where no two days are quite the same.
The Role
As a Sales Administrator, you will be the backbone of a busy sales operation, ensuring orders are processed smoothly and customers receive a first-class experience from start to finish. You will be handling a varied mix of tasks including order processing, supplier liaison, customer queries and administration, so the ability to prioritise and stay organised is key.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing online orders through the internal system, including sourcing products to meet customer requirements
*Handling inbound telephone enquiries, queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
*Gathering additional information from customers relating to orders, payments and product specifications
*Contacting suppliers to place and manage orders
*Processing customer refunds accurately and efficiently
*Providing general administrative support as required
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in a busy administrative or sales support role
*Confident communicator, both over the phone and in writing
*Comfortable managing your own workload and working with a degree of autonomy
*A flexible and proactive approach - happy to turn your hand to tasks as they arise
*Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
*Experience in a customer-facing or order-processing environment is an advantage
This role sits within a small, supportive team and would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and is looking for stable, regular part-time hours across the full working week. Full training will be provided.
