As a Yard Operative you can expect a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced yard environment where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in ensuring customers receive excellent service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the depot.
Salary competitive depending on experience + excellent benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays and enrolment into the company Employee Ownership Scheme
Key responsibilities for the Yard Operative include,
*Assisting customers and providing excellent customer service
*Loading customer vans and cars safely and efficiently
*Loading and unloading supplier deliveries
*Picking, checking and preparing customer orders
*Organising, storing and checking stock
*Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment
*Supporting the wider team with general yard duties
The ideal Yard Operative will need,
*Previous experience within a similar role
*Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
*Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
*Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
*Have good attention to detail
*Be customer focused and approachable
*Be willing to learn and develop new skills
*Be physically fit and comfortable with lifting/moving stock
*Thrive in a busy outdoor working environment
*Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
Hours 7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
