Full job descriptionSEN Teacher – Primary SchoolStart Date: ASAP
Location: Colne
Contract: Full-time (term time)
Salary: Dependent on experience (MPS/UPS + SEN allowance where applicable)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colne is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally.
The RoleYou will:
*Plan and deliver tailored lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs
*Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise outcomes
*Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to learning
*Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
*Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
*Proven experience working with pupils with SEN, ideally within a primary school setting
*Strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive teaching practices
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
