*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Hybrid)
*Location: Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH
*Duration: 12 months
*Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE
*Working Hours: 9am till 5pm
Sheffield City Council are seeking a Service Support & Helpdesk Officer to provide strategic support and management across their extensive property estate. This role is crucial in continuing the city’s development and growth by managing both operational and non-operational property assets.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the Council’s operational and non-operational estate, including facilities management and revenue generation.
*Handle community, leisure, and social lettings, as well as concessions.
*Process right to buy applications and manage the disposal and acquisition of land for development and regeneration.
*Provide ratings advice, asset valuations, and appeal support.
*Deliver excellent customer service, acting as the first point of contact for property-related queries via email, phone, or face-to-face.
*Log, allocate, and respond to all property enquiries, including those from MPs, councillors, and FOI requests.
*Manage the Right to Buy appointment booking system.
*Collate and provide management information and progress monitoring reports.
*Update the service asset management database and review current practices for resource efficiency and customer experience improvement.
*Assist in the delivery of the service’s technical support function to ensure professional, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong administrative background with key experience in property management.
*Excellent technical and customer engagement skills.
*Proficiency in modern office productivity applications such as Technology Forge, ArcGIS, Integra.
*Ability to extract and process information from various data sources.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
*Strong team player with effective communication skills across various platforms.
*Experience in preparing marketing materials, managing social media accounts, and general office administration.
