We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bakery Team Leader to oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of food safety standards, and a passion for bakery excellence. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a fast-paced environment, contributing to the continued success of our bakery.
Duties
*Supervise and coordinate bakery production activities to meet quality and efficiency standards
*Ensure compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations at all times
*Monitor and maintain hygiene standards within the bakery area, conducting regular inspections
*Train and mentor team members on food safety procedures, equipment operation, and production techniques
*Oversee the maintenance of bakery equipment, including mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
*Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
*Implement health and safety protocols to safeguard staff and product integrity
*Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure consistency and excellence
*Assist in developing new recipes or product lines in collaboration with the management team
Qualifications
*Proven experience in food production or bakery operations, with previous leadership experience preferred
*Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
*Excellent communication skills to lead and motivate team members effectively
*Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
*A recognised qualification in food safety or relevant industry training is advantageous
