Location: Cardiff (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)
Salary: £35,000 – £38,500 per annum
REED Procurement are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join a well-established and highly regarded public sector organisation based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative procurement team, offering strong development opportunities and exposure to a broad range of procurement activity.
The Role
As a Procurement Officer, you will support the delivery of procurement activity across a variety of categories, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and internal processes.
You will initially focus on managing below-threshold procurements, while gaining valuable exposure to above-threshold procurement exercises with guidance and support from the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver end-to-end below-threshold procurement exercises
*Support senior colleagues on above-threshold procurement projects
*Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and policies
*Engage with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement advice
*Contribute to continuous improvement within procurement processes
About You
*1–3 years’ experience within public sector procurement
*Experience managing below-threshold procurement activities
*Working towards or completed CIPS Level 4 qualification
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
