£18.40 per hour (PAYE) / Umbrella option available
Temporary (sickness cover until end of July – potential extension)
Flexible hours between 8am–6pm | Part-time considered (min. 3 days)
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Local Housing Manager to join a Retirement Living scheme in Winslow, providing vital sickness cover.
This is a rewarding, customer-facing role at the heart of a vibrant scheme, where you’ll support older residents to live independently while ensuring the building remains safe, compliant, and well managed.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage tenancies, including rent accounts, arrears prevention, and voids
*Oversee health & safety compliance, property checks, and repairs
*Coordinate and manage contractors (cleaning, grounds maintenance, etc.)
*Handle ASB, complaints, and safeguarding concerns
*Build strong relationships with residents and promote community engagement
*Work collaboratively with families, external agencies, and local services
*Support residents with wellbeing and welfare benefit queries, maximising income where needed
What We’re Looking For
*Experience within social housing, ideally working with older or vulnerable residents
*Strong knowledge of housing management and tenancy sustainment
*Confident managing compliance, contractors, and scheme operations
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*IT literate with experience using housing systems and maintaining GDPR-compliant records
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
Flexibility to occasionally cover nearby schemes if required
