Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a Derbyshire based manufacturer to recruit a Toolroom CNC Milling Machinist for a site-based role within a busy production environment. SHIFT: 4 on, 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00
SALARY: £19.96 p/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines while supporting the manufacture, repair and improvement of tooling for extrusion and injection moulding processes.
*Program CNC milling machines using Powermill software
*Set, run and adjust CNC milling machines
*Monitor machine output and performance
*Maintain extrusion tools, dies and fixtures
*Work to tight quality tolerances
*Support improvements to tool design
*Improve efficiency and reduce waste
*Investigate and resolve tooling faults
*Read and follow technical drawings
*Manufacture tooling parts and components
REQUIREMENTS:
*Experience with CNC milling machines or similar
*Knowledge of Powermill or similar software
*Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
*Toolmaking or mechanical apprenticeship background
*Able to work well independently
*Strong skills in precision machining
*A proactive approach to problem solving
*Confident reading technical drawings
*Experience working with 3D models
*Material knowledge would be an advantage
