We are seeking a confident, reliable, and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our team, dedicated to supporting young people who need structure, guidance, and consistency in a specialist education setting.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who struggle with behaviour, engagement, or find mainstream school environments challenging.
*Build strong, respectful, and consistent relationships with students.
*Keep students engaged and focused on their tasks.
*Support behaviour management in a firm but fair manner.
*Help young people develop essential life skills such as confidence and routine.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Calm under pressure with a confident approach to challenges.
*Strong communication skills and natural leadership qualities.
*Experience in sports, coaching, youth work, mentoring, security, or armed forces is advantageous but not essential.
*A genuine interest in the success and development of young people.
*Reliable and proactive, ready to make a significant impact.
*English and Mathematics grade C or equivalent.
