Contract: Full-Time (5 Days Per Week)
Position Type: Long-Term with a view to Permanent (Temp-to-Perm)
Pay: £168.80 - £232.56 per day (Paid to scale)
Are you an inspiring Science Teacher looking for a new challenge in Lancaster?We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Lancaster. Starting on 1st June, this role offers the perfect opportunity to embed yourself in a supportive department before the end of the academic year, with the clear intention of transitioning into a permanent contract for the new school year.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner or an ECT looking for a school that prioritises professional development, we want to hear from you.
The Role*Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (all specialisms-Biology, Chemistry, and Physics-are welcome).
*Plan and prepare high-quality resources that cater to a range of learning abilities.
*Assess student progress and use data to inform future planning and interventions.
*Maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and building strong rapport with students.
*Contribute to the wider school community, attending departmental meetings and parents’ evenings where required.
The Ideal Candidate*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
*Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the Science curriculum.
*Proven track record of raising student attainment and engagement.
*Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to fit seamlessly into an established team.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
