Full job descriptionLevel 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN Focus) - Supply BasisChesterfield & Surrounding Areas are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistants with a strong SEN focus to work across a trust of schools in the Chesterfield area on a flexible supply basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate support staff who are committed to helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential while enjoying the flexibility and variety of supply work.
The RoleAs a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN Focus), you will:
*Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
*Deliver targeted interventions and support learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
*Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence
*Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
RequirementsSuccessful candidates will ideally have:
*A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
*Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN within a school environment
*Strong communication and behaviour management skills
*A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
*The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
