Full job descriptionPositive Employment is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant for our client a housing association based in Nottingham.
The successful post holder will provide an effective and responsive financial management service to Senior Management and budget-holders of the organisation and its associated entities.
This role is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility to extend. This role is hybrid working with 2 days remote, 3 days in the office per week.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
*Assist in the preparation of statutory, statistical, and other financial returns, including revenue, fixed assets, development and balance sheet budgets, business plans, and forecasts.
*Ensure all statutory returns relating to members of the organisation and associated charities are submitted accurately and within required deadlines.
*Support budget holders and Senior Management with the effective management and monitoring of budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective action where required.
*Oversee the preparation of budgets for charities and services supported by the organisation’s finance function.
*Provide financial input into business cases, service developments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Assist in the preparation of Annual Accounts and financial statements for the organisation and associated entities.
*Draft annual accounts and taxation returns for subsidiary companies and charitable entities.
*Produce accurate financial reports for Senior Management, Board members, and stakeholders in line with agreed timescales.
*Attend and represent the organisation at meetings with Trustees, residents, and other stakeholders where required.
*Promote and support a positive and inclusive working culture in line with organisational values and behaviours.
*Support the recruitment, induction, development, and performance management of colleagues.
*Assist with change management initiatives across teams and services.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
Personal Requirements:
*CIMA/ACCA finalist, part qualified, or degree qualified in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
*Substantial experience in the preparation and management of budgets, management accounts, and financial statements.
*Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
*Ability to work effectively to deadlines with minimal supervision.
*Strong IT skills including advanced use of MS Excel, databases, and computerised accounting systems.
*High level of numeracy, analytical, and literacy skills.
*Experience managing and supporting staff performance and development.
*Experience supporting change management within a team or business environment.
*Understanding of the needs of people from diverse social, cultural, and racial backgrounds.

Working Hours: 35hrs / Monday - Friday
Pay: £28.10 per hr
