Our client, an established software group working across energy, AI, and technology-led industries, is looking for a strong C# Software Developer who can demonstrate a consistent track record of delivering complex, long-term projects aligned to the kind of work their teams undertake.

The successful candidate must have hands-on experience working on ongoing energy industry projects and be able to demonstrate delivery across enterprise-scale or business-critical platforms.


Key Responsibilities

*Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#
*Deliver scalable, secure, cloud-based solutions within energy-focused environments
*Work with Postgres and Azure SQL to optimise database performance and structure
*Build and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions
*Support and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
*Collaborate closely with senior developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and stakeholders
*Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
*Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
*Work across long-term, continuous delivery projects with evolving client requirements


Essential Skills & Experience

*Strong background in ASP.NET MVC and C#
*Proven experience delivering projects within the energy sector
*Evidence of working on ongoing, business-critical software projects similar to enterprise delivery environments
*Strong experience with Postgres and/or Azure SQL
*Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions
*Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, ideally using Azure DevOps
*Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*Ability to work effectively within Agile development teams


Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills

*Experience with Azure App Services and Azure Service Bus
*Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
*Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
*Experience working on data-heavy or operational systems within utilities or infrastructure sectors
