Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners?
A warm and welcoming Primary School in Preston (PR4) is seeking a dedicated KS1 General Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
About the RoleYou will be working within a Key Stage 1 classroom, supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and helping pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a full-time, long-term position suited to someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and confident working with younger primary-aged children.
Key Responsibilities*Providing in-class support to the teacher and pupils
*Delivering small-group interventions where required
*Assisting with classroom organisation and learning resources
*Supporting the learning and welfare of all children
*Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements*Essential: Experience working within a Primary School setting
*Previous KS1 experience desirable but not essential
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine desire to support children’s learning and development
*Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am–3:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
