People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative – Wigan, Greater Manchester to join our well-established client based in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, excellent rates of pay, immediate starts, and stable full-time hours within a busy and supportive working environment.
This role would also suit candidates who have previously worked as a Yard Operative, Warehouse Operative, Industrial Cleaner, Warehouse Cleaner, Recycling Operative, Labourer, or General Operative.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday – 08:30am – 17:30pm
• Full-time hours
• No weekend working
Rates of Pay
• £13.00 per hour
• Weekly Pay

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Yard Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Breaking down and re-stacking wooden pallets
• Breaking down cardboard and loading recycling onto vans
• Sweeping warehouse areas and maintaining general housekeeping standards
• Cleaning areas after loaders and warehouse operations
• Supporting the upkeep of the yard and warehouse environment
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely and efficiently
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• The ability to travel between two sites in Wigan located within two miles of each other
• To be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good punctuality and timekeeping
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive and flexible approach to work
