Full job descriptionOur client is currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for Farnham. You will mainly deal with reinstatement cost assessments.

The role will be office based 3 days per week.

The Role
*Team Management and development responsibilities.
*Conduct thorough on-site inspections of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
*Evaluate building layout, structures, materials, construction methods, and overall condition.
*Identify factors that may affect reinstatement costs, including age, specification, and any non-standard features.
*Calculate accurate reinstatement costs in accordance with RICS guidance, BCIS indices, and relevant industry standards.
*Apply appropriate cost indices and regional adjustments to ensure up-to-date and compliant valuations.
*Monitor cost fluctuations and construction market trends to maintain assessment accuracy.
*Produce clear, detailed, and professionally presented RCA reports within agreed SLA timeframes.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, planning requirements, and relevant industry standards.
*Participate in relevant continuing professional development (CPD) and training as required by the business.

Skills / Qualifications
*Relevant technical / Loss Adjusting experience is desired.
*Degree in Building Surveying (BSC Hons).
*You will be MRICS qualified.
*Conversant with CAD, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulation and Planning Legislation.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Excellent customer service, organizational & communication skills.
