Seymour John are exclusively partnering with a well-established, values-driven not for profit organisation to recruit a Health, Safety & Environmental Lead.
This is a key role supporting a diverse, multi-site operation, where you will take ownership of developing and embedding a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving best practice, and influencing positive behavioural change.
The Opportunity
Key responsibilities will include:
*Develop, implement and continually improve health, safety and environmental policies in line with current legislation
*Lead on risk assessments, fire safety compliance and statutory obligations across multiple sites
*Oversee accident reporting, investigations and ensure timely regulatory reporting
*Conduct site inspections, audits and hazard reporting processes
*Deliver engaging health & safety training programmes to staff at all levels
*Maintain accurate records relating to incidents, compliance and training
*Liaise with external bodies including regulatory authorities and specialist advisors
*Support contractor management processes, including compliance under CDM regulations
*Promote a proactive, positive safety culture across the organisation
Personal Profile
We’re looking for a proactive and pragmatic professional who can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Key skills/experience required:
*NEBOSH Certificate with a proven background managing a wide range of health & safety matters
*Experience within facilities or multi-site environments
*Strong knowledge of risk assessment and hazard management
*Experience delivering training and presenting to diverse audiences
*Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
*A hands-on, solutions-focused approach
