We’re currently supporting a fantastic business in the search for an Assistant Estimator to join their growing team, working for a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation across the Midlands construction market.
The business continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors and due to continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction team with the addition of an Assistant Estimator.

Key Responsibilities
*Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
*Support quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models
*Gather and analyse data relating to labour, materials, and equipment costs
*Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
*Help maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information
*Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Design teams throughout the pre-construction process
*Attend site visits and internal meetings where required
*Prepare reports and cost summaries for senior management
*Support value engineering and risk assessment exercises

About You
*Degree, qualification, or training in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
*Previous construction experience, placement, or internship beneficial
*Strong numerical and analytical skills
*Motivated, proactive, and eager to develop within estimating and pre-construction
