We are seeking committed, resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our dedicated team at a secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students who require additional behavioural, emotional and educational support.
About the RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students both in and out of the classroom. You will help create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where pupils can build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities Include:*Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
*Assisting with classroom learning and intervention activities
*Building positive, professional relationships with pupils
*Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Helping to maintain a calm, consistent and nurturing environment
We Are Looking For Someone Who:*Has experience working with young people, ideally in education, youth work, care or support settings
*Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure
*Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Can maintain professional boundaries while showing empathy and understanding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
