Full job descriptionCorporate Solicitor - Wiltshire
An established and highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Wiltshire is seeking to expand its Corporate Commercial team with a Solicitor hire. The Corporate Commercial team has a strong presence acting for SMEs, owner-managed businesses, high-growth companies, investors and established national and international organisations that are known for handling sophisticated transactional and advisory work while maintaining a supportive and down-to-earth culture.
You will work closely with senior lawyers on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, governance matters and commercial contracts. Clients span sectors including technology, media, energy, agriculture, retail and rural businesses.
The Role
*Business sales and acquisitions, including share and asset transactions
*Corporate structuring, reorganisations and governance advice
*Shareholder agreements, investment arrangements and joint ventures
*Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts
*Supporting private equity and investment transactions
*Advising entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses on day-to-day corporate matters
Recent work within the wider team has included:
*Advising on multi-million-pound acquisitions and disposals across the technology, media and events sectors
*Supporting investment rounds and equity fundraises for growing businesses
*Advising investors and management teams on private equity-backed transactions
What experience is required:
*Qualified Solicitor 2+ years’ PQE
*Experience handling corporate and commercial matters with appropriate supervision
*Strong drafting and negotiation skills
*Confidence to think independently and contribute ideas to the wider department
