Full job description(Junior) Electrical Design Engineer - Solar + BESS | London (3x p/w)
If you’re looking for a Junior-Level Electrical Design Engineer role where you’ll be working with genuine industry experts on Leading European Solar PV Projects - this one is for you!
The Role
You’ll join a growing technical team at a Major European EPC supporting the design and delivery of large-scale solar and energy-storage projects. Working alongside senior engineers, you’ll help produce electrical designs, specifications, and technical documentation across LV/MV systems, protection, SCADA, and grid-connected assets.
This is a Junior Level role, so support with the Project Team will be on hand, alongside an active program to build up your skills in the Electrical Engineering space.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist with LV, MV and HV electrical design
*Produce CAD drawings, schematics, and design deliverables
*Support protection, earthing, and SCADA specifications
*Contribute to tenders, proposals, and technical reports
*Ensure compliance with IEC standards and internal ISO processes
*Support FAT/SAT activities and site engineering when required
Requirements
*Degree in Electrical Engineering or close
*Initial experience in power systems, renewables, or electrical design
*Familiarity with AutoCAD; exposure to PVSyst, DigSilent, or similar tools is a bonus
*Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
*Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
*Full UK driving licence & ability to work in London 3x per week.
