OverviewIN2 Consult is partnering with an exciting, global client on the recruitment of a Senior Project Accountant to join them on an interim basis, focused on designing and implementing new financial processes within a complex, evolving environment.
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology, with a core focus on building robust, scalable processes to support accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. Initially, this will involve developing structured, Excel-based solutions using new data inputs, with a longer-term view toward automation.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless transition to improved ways of working.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design & Implementation
*Develop and implement a new revenue recognition process aligned to existing accounting policies
*Build a structured, repeatable solution (initially Excel-based) using multiple data sources
*Embed controls to identify errors and ensure data accuracy
*Continuously refine outputs and resolve issues throughout implementation
*Transition the process into BAU with clear documentation and post-implementation support
Stakeholder Management
*Collaborate with finance, technology, and external stakeholders to define and deliver requirements
*Translate business needs into practical, scalable process solutions
*Ensure stakeholders remain aligned and accountable throughout the project lifecycle
Project Accounting
*Ensure accurate accounting treatment of project-related costs and cash flows
*Partner with finance teams to communicate accounting implications and updates
*Maintain oversight of financial impact throughout the project
Governance, Risk & Controls
*Establish strong data governance and process control frameworks
*Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
*Support audit requirements related to new processes
*Proactively identify and mitigate risks relating to data integrity and reporting accuracy
Experience & Skills Required*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
*Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles
*Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and structure complex datasets
*Experience working across finance and technology-driven projects
*Familiarity with ERP systems & Analytics tools
*Proven ability to build and improve processes in a fast-paced environment
*Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
