Academics Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in Huddersfield, who are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, empathetic, and committed to making a real difference in children’s lives.
Your Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
*Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement behaviour strategies
*Build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils
*Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For:
*Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs (in schools, youth work, care or similar)
*Calm, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills
*A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for helping children succeed
*Ability to remain consistent and fair when managing behaviour
*An understanding of safeguarding and child protection
