Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary/secondary school (adjust depending on setting) in Bournemouth this September.
About the Role:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning challenges. You’ll help create a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:*Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
*Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
*Support children’s emotional, social, and educational development.
*Help adapt learning materials and classroom activities to meet individual needs.
*Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:*Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred but not essential).
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
