Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer
*Salary: £52,000 pa (equivalent to £25.00 p/hr for a 40-hour week)
*Location: Bishop’s Stortford - easy access from the M11 junction, near Stansted Airport
*Hands-on role: panel wiring, electrical installation, testing and commissioning
*On-site work: install, commission systems at client locations
*Reactive work: fault finding, breakdown diagnosis and repair


Role overview:
An established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for an Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer to support the wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control panels and skid-mounted systems. You’ll also provide fault finding and breakdown support on installed equipment, both in-house and on client sites.


Key responsibilities:
*Controls work and electrical panel wiring
*Read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics
*Electrical installation of systems at client sites
*Testing and commissioning of electrical panels, skids and associated equipment
*Fault finding, breakdown response and corrective repairs to restore operation
*Safe, competent use of power tools and hand tools


Required experience / skills:
*Experience in controls and panel wiring
*Able to read electrical drawings
*Familiar with power tools and hand tools
*Strong fault-finding mindset and a practical, safety-first approach


Desired experience
*PLCs and HMIs (user/diagnostic experience advantageous)
*Commissioning of electrical panels and skids
*Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
